聖書歌の本 is a PDF reader specifically designed for the Japanese New World Translation of the Bible. This app, created by LastDaysTechnology, allows users to quickly access specific pages of the Bible in PDF format. Please note that users need to provide their own PDF files.
Navigation within the app is intuitive. Users can select a book from the left list, choose a chapter, and open the corresponding page. Swiping or tapping the right or left edges of the screen allows for easy page flipping. Double-tapping on a page zooms in, and tapping the right edge while zoomed in allows for seamless reading. Double-tapping again returns the page to its original size. Users can also use the volume keys on their device to navigate through the pages.
The app also includes a bookmark feature. Tapping the middle of the screen while viewing the Bible brings up a bookmark option at the top. Users can tap on the bookmark to save their place and continue reading from where they left off. Long-pressing a bookmark in the selection screen allows users to set a custom name for the bookmark.
For users who need to change the PDF settings, simply long-press the book title or number button to bring up the option to reconfigure the PDF.
Please note that this app is not an official app from jw.org and is intended for use on tablets only. The app is compatible with both ARM and Atom CPUs and utilizes the MuPDF library for PDF rendering. MuPDF is an open-source library released under the AGPL license.
